FAQ

Connecting

The VPN won't connect
  1. Check that the internet works with the VPN turned off.
  2. Pick a different server from the list.
  3. Close the app and open it again.
  4. If iOS asked for permission to add a VPN configuration and you tapped "Don't Allow", tap the diamond again and allow it.

Still not working? Message us on Telegram @S_Bagdasarian or email support@rubinvpn.com.

iOS asks to "Add VPN Configurations" - is that normal?

Yes. This is a standard iOS prompt: it's how any VPN app gets permission to create an encrypted tunnel. You only need to allow it once.

A website or app doesn't work with the VPN on

Some services restrict access from server addresses. Add them to the exclusions in the "Routing" section - they will go direct while everything else keeps going through the VPN.

Slow speed

Try another server: the indicator next to each name shows which one is more responsive right now. Speed also depends on your network - mobile data is usually slower than Wi-Fi.

How to fully remove the VPN profile from an iPhone

iPhone Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → VPN → tap (i) next to Rubin VPN → "Delete VPN".

Free plan

What is the connection queue

There are no limits for the first 3 days after installation. After that the free plan works in cycles: one hour connected, then one hour of waiting.

Turning the VPN off manually also starts the waiting period. Switching servers while connected does not.

Your data

How to delete my data

Email support@rubinvpn.com. We will delete your device identifier, the addresses assigned to it on our servers and everything linked to it. The app will then behave as if it were freshly installed.

What data do you store

Only what the service needs to work: a random device identifier, the date of first launch, public encryption keys and your IP address for no longer than 24 hours. The full list is in our Privacy Policy.
