Effective September 19, 2026 · RUBIN VPN LLC

In short

  • Rubin VPN works without sign-up: we don't know your name, email or phone number.
  • We don't store browsing history, traffic contents or connection history.
  • We store only a random device identifier and the technical data the service can't work without. The full list is in section 3.
  • We do not sell, use or disclose user data to third parties for any purpose.

1. Who we are

The Rubin VPN service - the Rubin VPN app, our VPN servers and the rubinvpn.com website - is provided by RUBIN VPN LLC, Republic of Armenia ("we", "us"). We decide what data is processed and why, and we are responsible for protecting it.

For any question about your data, email support@rubinvpn.com.

2. Scope

This policy explains how we handle data when you use the Rubin VPN app for iPhone and iPad, our VPN servers, our control server and this website.

3. Data we store

The app works without sign-up. To give your device its connection settings and apply the free plan rules, our control server stores the following - and nothing else:

DataWhyHow long
Device identifierA random string created on the device and kept in its secure storage (Keychain). It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, Apple Account or advertising identifier. It lets us recognise the device without an account. While the device uses the service, or until you ask us to delete it
Date of first launchTo apply the free plan rules: 3 days with no limits, then a connection queue.Together with the device identifier
Public encryption key and internal VPN addressFor each server the device has connected to. Without them the server can't accept the connection. A public key cannot be used to decrypt traffic. While the device uses the service; slots of inactive devices are released periodically
Access key, if you entered oneTo apply the terms the key provides and enforce the per-key device limit.Until the key expires, the device is unlinked, or the data is deleted
App versionTo serve compatible settings and fix bugs.Together with the identifier; overwritten on update
Time of last request to the control serverTo know that the device is active and to release slots of inactive devices.Together with the identifier; overwritten
IP address used to reach the control serverRate limiting, protection against abuse and key guessing. No longer than 24 hours

Legal basis: this data is necessary to provide the service you chose to use and to protect it from abuse.

4. Data we don't store

5. Your traffic and encryption keys

The private encryption key is created on your device and never leaves it. Only the public key is sent to our server.

When the VPN is on, your traffic travels through an encrypted tunnel to our server. The server decrypts the tunnel only to pass the data on to the internet and records none of it. Websites that use HTTPS remain encrypted even to us.

The app contains no ads, analytics, third-party SDKs or trackers.

6. This website

The rubinvpn.com website uses no cookies, counters, analytics or ads, and loads no fonts, scripts or images from third-party servers. There are no forms on the site - we don't ask you for anything.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure. Like any host, Cloudflare technically processes IP addresses and request data to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We don't use this data to track visitors.

7. Third parties

We do not sell, use or disclose user data to third parties for any purpose. We don't use it for advertising, profiling or tracking, and we don't combine it with data from other sources.

The service runs on rented infrastructure: the control server and database are hosted by Cloudflare, and the VPN servers by hosting providers in data centres. These companies supply us with infrastructure and do not receive user data from us for their own purposes.

We have no browsing history, traffic contents or connection history, so they cannot be handed over to anyone under any request.

8. Retention and deletion

Deleting the app does not by itself delete data on our server: the identifier is kept in iOS secure storage and may survive a reinstall. To delete your data, email support@rubinvpn.com. We will delete the device identifier, the addresses assigned to it on our servers and any access key link within 30 days, usually much sooner.

9. Your rights

At any time you can ask what data we hold about your device, request its correction or deletion, and withdraw your consent by stopping use of the service and asking us to delete your data. Email support@rubinvpn.com. We have no accounts, so we will explain how to find the record for your particular device.

If you believe we are violating your rights, you may contact the data protection authority in your country.

10. Security

The connection between the app and our control server is protected by TLS. Only the service's developers have access to the database and servers. Our main protection is data minimisation: what we don't have can't be stolen or disclosed.

11. Children

The service does not ask for age and does not collect data that could identify a person - from adults or from children.

12. Changes to this policy

A new version of this policy is published on this page with a new date. If a change expands the list of data we store, we will notify you in the app in advance.

This policy is published in Russian and English. If the versions differ, the Russian version prevails.
